How to set up a shop in your bot
The shop is a storefront of your products at chbt.io/s/your-shop. In Telegram it opens right in the chat as a mini app, in MAX — as the bot's mini app, in VK and in the website chat — via a link. The buyer adds products to the cart, picks a delivery option and pays on delivery or online to your account. The order arrives to you in Telegram or MAX, by email and in the “Orders” section, and a deal is created in the CRM.
What you need
- The “Basic” plan or higher. On “Free” the section is visible, but the storefront does not accept orders.
- Products with a shop price: your own (created in “Shop → Products”) or from the catalog — uploaded as a file, a feed or from Wildberries. The shop price is set separately from the marketplace price.
- At least one delivery option: pickup with points, courier, shipping across the country or your own option — with a price and free delivery above an order total.
- For online payments — seller details (sole proprietor or company, INN, address, privacy policy and return terms) and a connected YooKassa or CloudPayments account.
Step 1. Products and delivery
- In the dashboard, open the bot → “Shop” → “Products” → “Add product”. Title, description, photos (up to 5 MB; we compress them and strip camera data), variants (size, color), price, old price for a discount and stock.
- Give catalog and marketplace products a shop price — then they can be added to the cart. The “Buy on WB/Ozon” button next to it can be kept or removed.
- “Delivery” — add delivery options. The buyer sees them at checkout; the delivery price is added to the order.
Stock is deducted when the order is placed: two buyers can't buy the same last item. A canceled order returns the item to stock.
Step 2. Shop settings
“Shop” → “Shop”: name, storefront address, currency (rubles, tenge or sum), minimum order total, button color and contacts. Seller details are shown to the buyer at the bottom of the storefront — the distance-selling law requires it.
Turn on “Storefront accepts orders” once products and a delivery option are added.
Step 3. Payments
- On delivery — in cash or by transfer. The order goes to you right away.
- Online — by card or via SBP on your payment provider's page. Connect YooKassa (shopId and secret key) or CloudPayments (Public ID and API password) in “Payments”: we check the keys with the provider before saving. The money goes to your account; CHBT never touches it.
An online order waits 45 minutes for payment, and the items are reserved during that time. We reconcile every payment with the provider ourselves and mark the order as paid — even if the provider's notification gets lost. The notification URL from “Payments” makes this faster but is optional.
54-FZ receipts are issued by your payment provider (YooKassa or CloudKassir): turn on “Send receipt to the provider” and set the tax system, the VAT rate (including 22% and 5/7% under the simplified system) and what you sell. The rate can be overridden for a single product; delivery is a separate receipt line.
Online payment works for shops in rubles. Shops in tenge and sum accept payment on delivery.
Step 4. Where the buyer opens the shop
- A button in a scenario. In a message, add a button with the “Opens the shop” action: empty — the whole catalog,
p/123— a product (the number is on the product card),c/Candles— a category. - Telegram. The storefront opens inside the chat. In “Shop → Shop → Where to open the shop” you can add a “Shop” menu button to the left of the input field; we save the previous menu button and restore it when you turn this off.
- MAX. On the MAX partner platform, set the storefront address as the bot's mini app (the address is in the same section) and turn on “Open the storefront as a mini app”.
- VK and website chat. The button arrives as a link. The order is still linked to the conversation, and the buyer gets status updates there.
- The AI seller shows a “Buy in the shop” button for products with a shop price.
Digital products for Stars
Telegram allows courses, consultations, access passes and files to be sold in bots and mini apps only for Stars — Telegram Stars. In the shop this is turned on per product.
- “Shop” → “Products” → product card → “Digital product”: turn on “Sell in Telegram for Stars” and set the “Price in Stars” — a whole number from 1 to 10,000.
- In the Telegram mini app the product gets a “Buy for N ★” button. It is a one-item order without a cart or delivery; payment happens in the Telegram payment window right in the mini app. An unpaid order waits 15 minutes.
- A paid order arrives in “Orders” like any other, and the deal goes to the CRM.
Where Stars go. To your bot’s balance in Telegram — each seller has their own bot, and CHBT does not touch the Stars. You can withdraw them via Fragment in TON; withdrawal terms and timing are set by Telegram. There is no 54-FZ receipt for Stars.
Refunds are full only: “Refund all” in the order card returns the Stars to the buyer’s balance. If a buyer paid for an order twice, the second payment is refunded automatically.
Outside Telegram — in MAX, VK and on the website — Stars cannot be used: there the product is sold for rubles through your provider if it has a shop price. You can also take Stars in a flow: in the “Payment” block choose the “Telegram Stars” option — the invoice arrives right in the Telegram chat.
Orders
A new order reaches you in Telegram or MAX (the “Notifications” section), by email, as a push notification and in “Shop → Orders”. There you see the items, the buyer, delivery, payment and history. Change the status — “Being packed”, “Shipped”, “Ready for pickup”, “Completed” — and the buyer gets a message in their chat and by email. The CRM deal moves along with the status.
To write to the buyer in your own words, add a “Shop event” trigger to a scenario — “Order placed”, “Paid”, “Shipped” and others. The bot then sends your scenario instead of the standard message; the text can use {{order_number}}, {{order_total}}, {{order_status}} and {{order_url}}.
Refunds
A paid order's card has “Refund”: pick the items and delivery or “Refund everything”. The money goes back through your payment provider, which issues the refund receipt itself. A full refund cancels the order and returns the items to stock.
If the buyer paid after the payment window expired, we restore the order when the items are in stock. If they are gone, you get a notification, and the card shows “Restore order” and “Refund”. If the buyer paid the same order twice, the second payment is refunded automatically.
Limitations
- Digital products in Telegram are paid only with Stars (Telegram Stars): there is no 54-FZ receipt for them, and Stars can only be refunded in full — see “Digital products for Stars”.
- Rubles are paid on your provider’s page; there are no card payments inside Telegram (Telegram Payments).
- Delivery uses your own options and prices. CDEK and Russian Post rate calculation and tracking are not connected yet.
- One currency per shop. The storefront has no promo codes or reviews yet.
- Online payments and receipts work in rubles only, via YooKassa or CloudPayments.
