What the bot does in a MAX giveaway
Checks the channel subscription
The bot asks MAX whether the person is among the channel’s subscribers — for that the bot must be a channel admin. Not subscribed — buttons to the channel and “Check again”. If MAX doesn’t answer, the person doesn’t lose their chance: the bot asks to try again in a minute.
Number and bot protection
Each participant gets a number in order; a repeat entry gets “You’re already in”. The “not a bot” check is a sum to solve or your own question.
Results anyone can re-check
Before the start the giveaway page shows the hash of a secret number; at the draw — the list of numbers and the number itself. Any participant can repeat the draw with the “Check in browser” button.
Prize handover in the CRM
The winner gets a message, the bot asks for the handover details and separately for consent to publish their name. Silent past the deadline — the place goes to the next person in reserve.
Telegram and VK — in the same giveaway
One giveaway accepts participants through bots in MAX, Telegram and VK; each meets the conditions of their own platform.

How to run a giveaway in MAX

Get the contest approved by MAX
Under clause 5.1 of the MAX Requirements for developer applications, contests and promotions in bots are held after approval by MAX. The bot is yours, so you get the approval; CHBT asks you to confirm it at the start.

Connect the MAX bot
“Channels” → MAX → bot token: the bot works via the MAX for Business platform API. Make the bot a channel admin and add the channel to “Channels to check”.

Create a giveaway
“Giveaways” → “Create”: prize, number of winners and reserve, results date, rules from the template and the organizer.

Start and publish the post
“Start” — the bot checks that everything is ready. A draft post with a “Join” button appears in Studio — publish it to the MAX channel.

- MAX approval. The MAX application requirements (clause 5.1) allow contests, promotional events and promotions in bots only after separate approval by MAX. CHBT doesn’t get the approval for you and won’t start a giveaway with a MAX bot or channel until you confirm you have it.
- The bot is a channel admin. Otherwise MAX doesn’t show the bot the subscribers, and the check goes to “couldn’t check”.
- Entry is free. A “Payment” block on the way to entry won’t let the giveaway start.

What the MAX giveaway bot doesn’t do
The limits are clear before you launch.
- Doesn’t get the contest approved by MAX for you — the bot owner does that.
- Doesn’t check subscription to a channel where the bot isn’t an admin.
- Doesn’t pick winners among reactions and comments: a participant is someone who joined through the bot.
- Doesn’t publish posts without your decision: the “Join” post and the results post are drafts in Studio.
