How to Make a Shop in Telegram in 2026: Ways, Payments and a Comparison of Builders

· Command CHBT · Telegram, Sales, Comparison

A shop in Telegram doesn’t require a website or a developer. A bot and a builder are enough: the customer browses the catalog right in the chat, adds items to the cart, picks delivery and pays, and the order reaches you as a message. Below: three ways to make a shop, how payments work (and why Telegram requires Stars for courses), what to prepare legally, a step-by-step setup in CHBT and a comparison of eleven builders with prices as of October 21, 2026.

Three ways to make a shop in Telegram

1. A channel with products. Posts with a photo and a price, and “DM us” underneath. Free and fast, but you take every order by hand: confirm the size and address, send payment details. Works while you get a few orders a day.

2. A bot with a button catalog. The customer taps “Catalog” → category → product → “Add to cart”. Works in any Telegram client, but a long catalog is awkward to browse with buttons: one card is one message.

3. A mini app — a storefront inside Telegram. The bot opens the shop page on top of the chat: a product grid with photos, search, cart and checkout. For the customer it looks like a marketplace app, without leaving Telegram. This is the main format today: PuzzleBot, uShop, TGShop, LEADTEX, WebBot and CHBT all build it.

The second and third ways need a bot: you create it in @BotFather with the /newbot command and paste the token into the builder. Step by step — in “How to create a Telegram bot”.

How the customer will pay

  • On delivery — in cash or by transfer to the courier or at the pickup point. No payment provider needed; the order goes to work right away.
  • A link to the payment provider’s page — YooKassa, CloudPayments, Robokassa, T-Bank, Prodamus. The customer pays by card or via SBP on the provider’s page, the money reaches your account under your contract with the provider, and the provider issues the 54-FZ receipt. Works in any messenger.
  • Payments inside Telegram (Telegram Payments) — a card payment form opens in Telegram itself through a provider connected in @BotFather. Convenient, but Telegram-only; it doesn’t work in MAX or on a website.
  • Telegram Stars — for digital goods. Telegram allows courses, online consultations, access and files to be sold in bots and mini apps only for Stars (Telegram’s rules). Stars accumulate on the bot’s balance and are withdrawn via Fragment. Details — in “Telegram Stars payments in a chatbot”.

The fee for an online payment is charged by the payment provider under its plan. None of the builders compared below states a percentage of sales on top of the subscription on its website.

What to prepare before launch

  1. Seller status. Sole proprietor, company or self-employed. The self-employed issue receipts in the “Moy Nalog” app and can’t resell other people’s goods — check the regime’s limits for your case.
  2. A payment provider for online payments. A contract with YooKassa, CloudPayments or another payment system. Sole proprietors and companies need a 54-FZ receipt for online payments — YooKassa and CloudPayments (CloudKassir) enable it in the provider’s dashboard.
  3. Seller details on the storefront. For distance selling the customer must see who sells: name, tax ID / registration number, address, plus return terms and the personal data policy.
  4. Catalog. Names, photos, prices, variants (size, color) and stock. If your products are already on a website, in 1C or on Wildberries, pick a builder that imports them — entering a hundred items by hand takes a day.
  5. Delivery. Your own methods with a price (pickup, courier, nationwide) or a carrier with cost calculation — CDEK and Russian Post are not connected in every builder.

Step by step: a Telegram shop in CHBT

  1. Bot. Create a bot in @BotFather and connect it in the CHBT dashboard under “Channels”. You can add MAX, VK and the website chat there too — one shop serves all channels.
  2. Products. “Shop” → “Products” → “Add product”: photos, description, variants, price, old price for a discount and stock. Or load the catalog from a file, a YML feed or Wildberries and set the shop price — you can keep a “Buy on WB/Ozon” button next to the cart.
  3. Delivery. Pickup with locations, courier, nationwide or your own option — with a price and free delivery above an order total.
  4. Payment. On delivery — right away. Online — connect YooKassa or CloudPayments under “Payment acceptance” and fill in the seller details. 54-FZ receipts are issued by your payment provider. For courses and consultations, turn on “Digital product” with a price in Stars.
  5. Shop button. In Telegram the storefront opens inside the chat: from a button in a scenario message (“Opens the shop” — the whole catalog, a category or a product) and from the “Shop” menu button to the left of the input field.
  6. Test order. Place an order from your phone, check the notification and change the status — the customer receives “Being packed”, “Shipped”, “Ready for pickup” in their chat.

The order reaches you in Telegram or MAX, by email and in the “Orders” section; the deal goes to the CRM. Your own text to the customer — a scenario on the “Shop event” trigger. Full instructions — in the help article “How to set up a shop in the bot”.

Comparison of Telegram shop builders

Data from the services’ websites and documentation as of 21.10.2026. Price — the cheapest paid plan per month with monthly billing (for BotTap — the cheapest plan with a shop); check with the service which plan unlocks the shop. “Mini App” — a mini-app storefront, “buttons” — a catalog in bot messages. Telegram Stars are listed where the service mentions them itself.

Each one in brief

PuzzleBot — the widest choice of payment systems: providers with a payment page, payments inside Telegram, YooMoney for individuals, crypto and Stars. The shop can be built with buttons or as a mini app. The catalog is loaded from a CSV table. More about the service — in the CHBT vs PuzzleBot comparison.

uShop by uCoz — a single plan with the full kit for a goods shop: carriers (CDEK, Russian Post, Boxberry), import from 1C and MoySklad, a storefront in Telegram and MAX and a website on your own domain with shared products and orders. A strong choice for a shop delivering across Russia.

TGShop — the deepest integrations: dozens of carriers, 1C, MoySklad, installments, import from marketplaces. But delivery and accounting systems start with the “Business” plan (4,490 ₽), and the entry price is higher than the rest.

LEADTEX — a shop mini app inside a bot builder with a CRM and abandoned carts. Cash only on pickup. The price depends on the number of subscribers.

WebBot — a simple mini shop with a permanent free plan (up to 21 products). Payment goes through Telegram payments (Telegram Payments) with a connected provider.

Salebot — the shop is a website from the Salebot builder that the bot opens as a mini app; plus strong funnels and many channels. Convenient if you already build funnels in Salebot. More — in the CHBT vs Salebot comparison.

Botobot — the cheapest paid plan (320 ₽ for up to 200 products), price list import from YML and XLS, no percentage of sales. Telegram only.

BotTap and Chatforma — bot builders with a cart in messages: fine for a small range, when the shop is part of the bot rather than its main job.

ChatFood — a niche service for cafes and restaurants: menu, delivery zones, bonuses, no percentage of orders.

What CHBT doesn’t have — honestly: carriers with cost calculation (CDEK, Russian Post), import from 1C and MoySklad, card payment inside Telegram (only on the provider’s page), promo codes and reviews on the storefront. What it has: one storefront for Telegram, MAX, VK and the website, an AI seller that answers catalog questions and leads to the storefront, a CRM with a deal for every order, and a price from 650 ₽ per bot with no percentage of orders.

Not shops. BotHelp, SamBot, Botmother and Bot Kits often show up in roundups. According to their websites as of 21.10.2026, they have no ready-made catalog with a cart: BotHelp connects your existing website as a mini app, SamBot and Botmother accept payment with a button in a message (including Stars), Bot Kits takes orders with a scenario.

How to choose a builder

  • You sell physical goods with delivery across Russia and keep records in 1C or MoySklad — look at uShop and TGShop.
  • You sell courses, consultations, access — you need Telegram Stars: CHBT, PuzzleBot.
  • Your customers aren’t only in Telegram but also in MAX, VK or on your website — you need one storefront for all channels and payment on the provider’s page, not Telegram payments.
  • Your products are already on Wildberries — catalog import and a “Buy on WB” button next to the cart: CHBT.
  • Up to 20 products and no budget — the free plans of Botobot and WebBot.
  • Customers ask questions before buying — you need an AI consultant for the catalog, otherwise “do you have it in blue?” will land in your DMs.

Before paying for a subscription, build a test shop during the trial and place an order from your phone: in half an hour you’ll see whether the storefront is convenient for the customer and how the order reaches you.
