Briefly about what the bot can and cannot do. Details are on the channel pages and in the help center.
What do I need to prepare for my first AI assistant in CHBT?+
Pick one task: answering questions, collecting leads or picking products. For the AI agent, add your terms, price list and FAQ — as text, a page by link, or a PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD or CSV file. For the AI sales assistant, upload a catalog. Then check customer questions in the test, set up the flow and handoff to an operator, connect a channel and turn the flow on. No programming skills are needed for these steps. AI is available from the Basic plan; there is one Business trial day per owner, no card required.
Can the bot book clients straight into my schedule?+
If you take bookings in YCLIENTS — yes: the “Booking in YCLIENTS” block shows services, staff and free slots from your online booking, creates the appointment in your schedule and reminds the client about it in the same chat before the visit. The block is available on all plans. Without YCLIENTS, the “Client booking” template asks for the service, a convenient day and time and a phone number and passes the request to you — you confirm the time; nothing is reserved in a schedule automatically.
Does CHBT use all the information from my website automatically?+
From a link, CHBT loads the text of one accessible page into the agent’s knowledge base. It does not crawl the whole site or refresh pages automatically. You can add several sources within a total knowledge base of up to 15,000 characters. When your terms change, update the materials in the dashboard. PDF and DOCX files can be added too: only their text is extracted, and scans without a text layer are not recognized.
Do I have to build a big flow for AI to answer customers?+
No. You can start with the “FAQ with AI” template and a short chain: incoming message, AI agent, handoff to an operator when needed. The visual editor lets you add contact collection, conditions and actions as the task grows. The agent answers from the knowledge base, and the flow defines what happens before and after the answer.
How does the bot in Telegram differ from the bot in MAX, VK and on the website?+
One flow serves all four channels, conversations land in a shared inbox, and every channel is available on every plan. The channels themselves differ: in Telegram and the website chat a product card comes with a photo and an “Open product” button, in MAX and VK it comes as text with a link. In MAX and VK the customer starts the conversation with the “Start” button. Messengers do not let you message someone who has never written to the bot: the bot replies to people who started the conversation, and only they receive broadcasts. On the website the chat can speak first with a proactive message. On the Free plan the website chat shows a “Powered by CHBT” label.
Does the bot reply to buyers inside Wildberries and Ozon?+
No. The bot does not work inside the marketplaces: it cannot see messages on Wildberries and Ozon, does not answer reviews or buyer questions there and does not tell buyers their order status. The bot answers in Telegram, MAX, VK and on your website — buyers get there, for example, via the QR code on the package insert, and their contact stays with you. QR codes are made for Telegram. The dashboard shows a digest: new orders, reviews and questions for Wildberries, new FBS shipments and reviews for Ozon (reviews may require Premium Plus); the digest is also sent by email.
Can I start without a Wildberries key and without my own website?+
Yes. You can upload the catalog as a CSV, TSV or JSON file — up to 5 MB and 50,000 rows, with an error preview first; save an Excel sheet as CSV. The bot answers in Telegram, MAX and VK, and if the file has a product link, the buyer goes from the card to the product on the marketplace. For support and FAQ you don’t need a catalog — a ready-made template and one channel are enough. Product picks by the AI sales assistant start with the Basic plan.
How quickly do products reach the bot?+
A file is loaded right after the preview and the “Apply” button. CHBT re-reads a feed by link about every 6 hours, and there is a “Refresh now” button. Wildberries cards via a “Basic” WB key arrive at about 100 per hour — a Wildberries limit, not a CHBT plan limit — so a large catalog can take more than a day to load. New products arrive as drafts: the bot starts offering them once you publish them with the “Publish” button in the catalog or on the product card.
Do prices and stock in the bot match my store?+
The price, stock and link on a product card are filled in by the server from the catalog, not by the model. From a feed the bot takes prices and stock if the feed has an availability flag; without it the bot says availability is being checked. Stock via a Wildberries key is not loaded yet — for such products the bot also says availability is being checked. Prices in the bot lag behind your site by the time until your CMS rebuilds the feed plus up to 6 hours until the next read — or less if you click “Refresh now”.
Can a buyer place an order right in the bot?+
Yes, if you turn on the shop in your bot, from the Basic plan. The “Open shop” button opens the storefront: inside the chat in Telegram, as the bot’s mini app in MAX, and by link in VK and on your website. The buyer adds products to the cart, chooses delivery and pays on delivery or online via your YooKassa or CloudPayments. Products without a shop price are shown by the AI seller with a link to the product page in your store or on the marketplace; the bot does not see orders placed on your website or the marketplaces. For services and leads the bot collects a name and phone number — the lead shows up in Contacts and Conversations in the dashboard.
What happens if the bot can’t find a product?+
The bot says no suitable product was found and hands the conversation to an operator. The conversation also goes to an operator when the request is still unclear after three clarifying questions in a row, and, in a flow from the setup wizard, when AI credits run out: the bot says an AI answer is unavailable right now. The operator sees the messages and the cards shown in Conversations and replies to the buyer in their channel; the bot stays silent in that conversation until the operator hands it back.
Will the bot offer a product that has been taken off sale?+
Not if you unpublished it: the bot offers only published products and checks this on every pick and every link click. If a product was unpublished or the link is older than 14 days, the buyer is asked to request a fresh pick. A product that disappeared from the feed or from Wildberries is not unpublished automatically — unpublish it in the catalog.
Can I see how many sales the bot brought?+
The “Sales” tab in Analytics shows in how many conversations buyers started a pick, saw a product card and clicked through to it. Purchases on Wildberries, Ozon or in your store are not matched to conversations: the funnel ends at the click to the product. Funnel events are kept for 90 days.
