A Wildberries and Ozon product link that opens the app, not the browser
The bot has picked a pair of sneakers for the shopper and sent a card with a button — the shopper taps it and ends up in a mobile browser: the marketplace website, a prompt to install the app, a phone-number login, an empty cart. Some shoppers close the tab right there. In CHBT this is solved by Mobzio smart links: the same button opens the Wildberries, Ozon or other marketplace app, where the shopper is already signed in. Here is how it works, where it applies and what you need to connect.
Why a regular product link opens the browser
A product card address like https://www.wildberries.ru/catalog/… is a link to a website. The phone opens it in the browser, and in Telegram often in the built-in viewer. The marketplace app may be installed on the phone, but a regular link knows nothing about it.
For the shopper these are extra steps. In the browser they are not signed in: they have to log in, confirm their number and find the size again. Favourites, the cart and saved addresses live in the app, not on the website. The more steps between “I like it” and “add to cart”, the fewer people get to an order.
A deep link is a link that opens the app straight on the right screen. Making such links by hand for every marketplace takes time, and the formats differ. This is what the Mobzio smart link service does.
How it works in CHBT
Smart links are used for the cards sent by the AI sales assistant: the bot picks a product from your catalog and puts a View product button under the card. After a tap, the shopper’s path is:
- The button leads to a CHBT short link. It counts the click in the sales funnel and redirects only to the offer address from your catalog — it cannot be swapped.
- If Mobzio is connected and the marketplace is supported, the click goes through a Mobzio smart link.
- Mobzio opens the marketplace app on the product card, or the website if the app is not installed.
The smart link is prepared in advance, when the bot assembles the card. The shopper does not wait for CHBT to talk to Mobzio: by the time they tap, the link is already there.
Which marketplaces are supported
CHBT recognises the marketplace by the product address and wraps links to:
- Wildberries and Ozon;
- Yandex Market and Megamarket;
- Kaspi and Uzum;
- Lamoda, Zolotoe Yabloko, Detsky Mir and Letual;
- Avito.
Addresses of other websites are not wrapped: if a product leads to your online store, the button opens it directly, as before. Marketplace subdomains are recognised too, but look-alike addresses of other sites are not: a link like “wildberries.ru.something-else” will not become smart.
What you need to connect
- A product catalog. The card needs an offer address — it comes from a store feed, a Wildberries key or a file. How to build a catalog — on the Product catalog page.
- The AI sales assistant. It is what sends cards with the button. Available from the Basic plan — 650 ₽ a month per bot.
- A Mobzio account with an active subscription. Without a paid subscription Mobzio does not create links.
- An access key. You get it in your Mobzio account, in the API access section.
Connecting in CHBT: Marketplaces → the Smart Links block → paste the Access key → Connect. CHBT checks the key right away, before saving, and stores it encrypted. The project owner and admin can connect and disconnect Mobzio.
What the statistics show
Clicks are counted in two places, and each has its own job.
- In CHBT the short link records the click in the sales funnel: you see how many cards the bot showed and how many times they were tapped. Link previews generated by messengers are not counted as clicks.
- In Mobzio clicks on the smart link show up as external traffic to the product.
An important detail: one link per product goes to Mobzio, not a separate one per shopper. Otherwise an active seller’s Mobzio account would pile up thousands of links among which they could no longer find their own. So the Mobzio report answers “how much traffic did the bot bring to this product”, while who exactly tapped is visible in CHBT, in the conversation with the shopper.
If something breaks, the purchase does not
The main rule of smart links in CHBT: the service is not allowed to break a click. Any error — the key was revoked, the subscription ended, Mobzio did not answer within 8 seconds — means “no smart link”, and the shopper goes to the marketplace by a regular link, as before connecting.
The seller sees the error in the Smart Links block: a Last error: line with a clear reason and a note that until it is fixed, clicks go directly. Possible reasons:
- Mobzio did not see the key — check that the whole key was pasted;
- Mobzio did not accept the key — issue a new one in your Mobzio account;
- the access key is disabled in Mobzio;
- the subscription is not paid — links are created only on an active Mobzio plan;
- Mobzio has temporarily limited the number of requests — just wait.
Next to it is the Ready links: counter — how many products already have a smart link.
How to turn it off or disconnect
The Smart Links block has two different buttons:
- Turn off wrapping — the bot stops sending shoppers through Mobzio, and clicks go directly to the marketplace again. The key stays, and you can bring everything back with Enable Wrap. Smart links that were already created are not used either while it is off: the switch applies to all buttons at once.
- Disconnect — Mobzio is disconnected completely and the key is deleted. To turn it on again, you will have to paste the key again.
Turning off wrapping is handy, for example, while you sort out your Mobzio subscription — so you do not have to delete the key.
How long the link lives in the chat
A shopper may come back to the bot’s message a week later, and the price and availability change in that time. So the CHBT short link behind the View product button lives for 14 days. After that it opens an “Offer is outdated” page asking the shopper to return to the conversation for a fresh selection — the bot will pick the product again, with the current price.
The link passes nothing extra to the marketplace: CHBT adds no tags of its own to the product address. If the offer link already contains marketplace tags brought in by the catalog, they are kept as they are.
Where smart links will not work
- In buttons of regular flow messages. If you put a button with a link to a WB product into a Message yourself, CHBT does not wrap it. Smart links are only for AI sales assistant cards.
- For products without a marketplace address. If the offer in the catalog links to your website or has no link, there is nothing to wrap.
- Without a Mobzio subscription. The key will be checked, but links will not be created, and the block will show the reason.
- Without the AI sales assistant. On the Free plan you can build the catalog and connect Mobzio in advance, but there will be no one to show cards to shoppers.
If you need a product link in a regular message, you can create the same kind of short link in your Mobzio account by hand and put it into an Opens a link button.
Who benefits most from smart links
- Wildberries and Ozon sellers without their own website. The bot is a storefront in the messenger, but the product can only be bought on the marketplace. The shorter the path from the chat to the product card in the app, the fewer shoppers are lost between “I like it” and the order.
- Those who sell on several marketplaces. The same product can be on Wildberries, Ozon and Yandex Market — each offer in the catalog has its own address, and each link opens its own app.
- Those who drive traffic from social media and ads into the bot. If a shopper came to Telegram from an ad and then went to the marketplace, this traffic is visible separately in the Mobzio account, and clicks on bot cards are visible in CHBT.
- Stores with a long selection process. When a shopper clarifies size and colour in the chat and then lands in a browser without being signed in, they often start choosing all over again. The app opens exactly the card the bot picked.
What a smart link is not
A smart link changes only where the product opens: in the marketplace app rather than in the browser. It does not change the price, give a discount, add the product to the cart or place an order — the shopper does all that in the app themselves.
Nor does it replace marketplace analytics: sales and orders are still visible in your Wildberries or Ozon seller account. You cannot link a specific marketplace order to a specific bot conversation — the marketplace does not report who exactly bought. But you can compare three numbers: how many cards the bot showed, how many times they were tapped in CHBT and how much external traffic to the product Mobzio shows.
And one more thing: a smart link does not bypass marketplace rules. If a product has been delisted or is out of stock, the app will show it just as the website would.
How to check before launch
- Connect Mobzio and make sure the Smart Links block has no Last error: line.
- Message your bot from a phone with the marketplace app installed and ask it to pick a product — for example, “I need white sneakers, size 42”.
- Tap View product under the card. The marketplace app should open on that product, not the browser.
- Refresh the Smart Links block: the Ready links: counter has grown.
- Check that the click shows up in your Mobzio account.
Test from a phone and from the messenger: on a computer the marketplace app will not open, and the smart link will honestly send you to the website.
