How to connect amoCRM to a chatbot

A customer leaves a phone number or email in the bot, and a deal with a contact appears in amoCRM: name, phone, email and the CHBT tag. The connection is built in, with no Make or n8n: all you need is an amoCRM long-lived token. It works for Telegram, MAX, VK and website chat, on any plan.

Step 1. Issue a token in amoCRM

  1. In amoCRM, open “amoMarket” (or “Settings” → “Integrations”) → “Create integration” → “External integration”.
  2. Allow access to account data and save.
  3. On the “Keys and access” tab, click “Generate long-lived token”, choose an expiry date and copy the token.

The token is valid until the date you chose. When it expires, deliveries start failing with code 401: issue a new token and paste it into the connection.

Step 2. Connect amoCRM in CHBT

  1. In the bot’s dashboard, open “Integrations and APIs” → “New connection” and choose amoCRM in the “System” field.
  2. “amoCRM account address”: the subdomain (acme) or the full address: acme.amocrm.ru, acme.kommo.com.
  3. “Long-lived token”: from step 1.
  4. “Pipeline number” is optional: the number from the pipeline’s address in amoCRM. Without it, the deal goes to the main pipeline.
  5. Click “Connect”. The “Lead” event is selected right away.

Step 3. Ask for contact details in the flow

The deal is created by the “Lead: the customer left a phone number or email” event. It is sent when the customer leaves a phone number or email in a “Data collection” block for the first time. Add such a block to the flow, for example after the service choice, and test it from your phone: go through the flow in Telegram or MAX and leave a number.

The “Check flow” test chat does not send leads out, so test in a real channel. The connection’s “Delivery log” shows what was sent and how amoCRM responded.

What arrives in amoCRM

  • A deal “Chatbot: customer name” (or the phone number if there is no name) with the CHBT tag.
  • The deal’s contact: name, work phone and work email.
  • If the customer leaves the phone and email one after the other, that is two leads, and each creates its own deal.

Other events (messages, handoff to an operator, closing) are not sent to amoCRM, so the pipeline stays clean. View the conversation in CHBT “Conversations”.

Limitations

  • amoCRM does not look for duplicates itself: if the same customer leaves a lead in another bot, a second deal appears. Merge them with amoCRM’s duplicate search.
  • The responsible user, stage and deal fields are not set: the deal lands in the first stage of the pipeline.
  • The deal is created but not updated: the customer’s replies after the lead are not added to amoCRM.

FAQ

Do I need Make or n8n?
No. CHBT sends the request to the amoCRM API with your token. You need Make only if the deal should get more than the name, phone and email: in that case, subscribe its address to the same “Lead” event.

Deals do not appear. What should I check?
Open the connection’s “Delivery log”. 401 means the token has expired or was not copied in full: issue a new one. No entries means the customer did not reach the “Data collection” block or you tested in the test chat rather than in a channel.

Does it work with Kommo?
Yes: enter the full account address, for example acme.kommo.com.

How much does it cost?
The amoCRM connection does not depend on your CHBT plan and works even on Free, within 30 conversations a month.
